What is PET-
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
PET is principally used for packaging. Traditional uses for PET include the manufacturing of carbonated beverages, water, isotonic energy drinks, vegetable oil and other beverages.
PET is also molded into clam shells for food packaging, as well as a number of other non-food applications.

More recent uses include packaging for hot filled drinks, custom foods and oxygen-sensitive food and drinks, such as beer, wine, juice and baby food.
PET is 100% recyclable and can be re-melted and recycled pretty much as often as required.
The PET recycling industry has grown into a well-established business over recent years.
Used PET can be recycled into fibers and textiles, or processed into new material for PET products. Thus, with recycling, PET forms part of a closed material cycle, significantly reducing the net utilisation of valuable energy and resources such as crude oil.
PET & Polyol life cycles
PolyChem will accept PET post-consumer plastic waste from plastic bottle collection depos, scrap plastic traders, and bottling companies in large quantities with minimum post processing, such as sorting, and process them into polyPET polyols.
By locating production plants near these recyclers, depos, manufacturers, a closed-loop business model will be deployed allowing the same manufacturers to buy back the resulting PolyPETat a significant discount to the market price for virgin polyol.

Kambiz has over 25 years experience in the chemical industry and an extensive background in international trade, development, importing and exporting of chemicals, industrial foams and equipment.
Kambiz is a serial inventor and chemical engineer with more than 25 years experience in the polyurethane foam industry. He has worked in senior management positions with companies in Iran, the US and Canada. Kambiz has an MBA from San Francisco State University, a Master’s of Science (Chemical Engineering) from Middlesex University.
